Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
Newell Brands recognizes that circumstances sometimes require an employee to be absent from work for a limited period of time. In certain situations, an eligible employee may request time off under the federal law known as the Family and Medical Leave Act, or FMLA. Some state laws provide additional rights with respect to family and medical leave. You will be advised of your rights under your state's laws where controlling.
Eligibility
To be eligible for FMLA leave, you must have worked for the Company for at least 12 months, and worked at least 1,250 hours during the previous 12months.
Reporting FMLA
Report your absence to the company's leave administrator by phone or online. If you experience any problems, immediately involve your local HR representative.
Report your absence dates to your supervisor/local HR representative as required by your applicable attendance policy. Note - you are not required to divulge personal or medical details.
