Benefits of a VSP Plan

FIRST you pay a small copay for:

THEN the plan pays for these services and supplies

Contacts - Once per calendar year

When you choose contacts instead of glasses, your $140 allowance applies to the cost of your contacts. The fitting and evaluation exam is covered separately. You pay up to a $60 copay for this fitting exam; then the plan pays 100%.

You pay 100% of the cost above the $140 lenses/frames allowance; you pay up to a $60 copay for exams and fittings, then the plan plays 100%

Using your VSP benefit is easy

  • Find an eye care​ provider who’s right for you. To find a VSP doctor or retail chain affiliate, visit newell.vspforme.com​ or call 1-800-877-7195.

  • Review your benefit information. Visit the website to review your plan coverage before your appointment.

  • At your appointment, tell them you have VSP. There’s no ID card necessary.

  • That’s it! There are no claim forms to complete when you see a VSP doctor or retail chain affiliate.

Choose from featured frame brands like bebe®, ck Calvin Klein®, Flexon®, Lacoste®, Michael Kors®, Nike®, Nine West®, and more. Your Coverage with Non-VSP Providers

If you plan to see a provider other than a VSP doctor, the below allowances will apply to services received. Visit newell.vspforme.com for additional details.

  • Exam: $10

  • Frames: 

    • $140 allowance for a wide selection of frames

    • $160 allowance for featured frame brands

    • 20% savings on the amount over your allowance

  • $75 Costco® 

  • $140 Walmart®/Sam’s Club® frame allowance

  • $140 Contact lens allowance
